With Kenta, a member of our camera product team, on hand to answer our pressing questions, we had a chance to learn about the latest inside the a77 and also understand the future of previous digital cameras like the a700.

Would you come to a ... Would you come to a Buffet and get a Pizza or you can go straight to Pizza hut and get a Pizza ? Sony make generals electronics, but Nikon? and Canon are professionals in DSLR. Thats the fact.
@Superbustr Huh??? ... @Superbustr Huh??? The Canon 7d with kit is almost $200.00 more expensive than the Sony A77 with kit @ B&H, and the A77 blows the 7D out of the water. Comparing the A77 to Canon's 5DMkII would be a more fair comparison (even considering the full-frame/APS-C difference) and the 5DMkII is almost $300.00 more than? the A77 FOR JUST THE BODY!

I USE TOO SHOOT IN APERTURE MOSTLY NOW I HAVE MOVE TO MANUAL THANKS TO THE LIVE VIEW THAT'S SHOWS WHAT THE SETTINGS WILL LOOK LIKE. THIS MAY BE CHEATING FOR SOME BUT IT HELPS YOU EXPLORE SO MUCH MORE IN PHOTOGRAPHY.
I HAVE THE 50 MM 1.4? . THIS IS JUST THE START OF MANY TO FOLLOW. I LOVE TO SHOOT IN NATURAL LIGHT AND THIS LENS IS NICE AND FAST , SHARP AND HAS GOOD COLOR.

I really like the ... I really like the newer sony cameras because they are very unique and different from the competition including this a77. But I find their products are way overprice. This camera with the 16-50mm f2.8 lens costs $2000, way to much if you ask me, at? least compared to Canon.

@djRINAMARIE ... @djRINAMARIE Thanks for the reassurance about the a77 with the KM 28-135mm. I was hesitant to use this combo at a wedding yesterday, since the 28-135 isn't my fastest? lens, but it was the only one I had with a polarized filter for the super-sunny day. The results were amazing. All of my lenses are old Minoltas - they do have great color. Nice to know I'm not missing anything from Canikon, and reaffirms that I made the right decision to buy the spectacular a77!

But legendary Minolta Maxxum lenses are even better than Canon and Nikon and they are fully compatible with SONY cameras! I would put my SONY A77 with our 28-135MM 1:4-4.5 head to head up against any camera and lens combo in this price range and have sharper photos with better color. We edit photos from over 200 photographers with every camera/lens combo you can imagine and none are close? to what we are getting with the A77/Minolta 28-135 combo :D
